Our Partners
Our partners make our home a happy one as they come into our home to provide services that our residents would typically have to go out for. Life is easier at Orchard View Gardens.
Home Hospice North Lanark is a hospice “without walls”.
We are a volunteer visiting program that supports adults with a life-limiting illness. We assist people who wish to remain at home wherever they call home – including their own home, retirement home, long-term care facility or hospital – to live out their lives in familiar surroundings.
We are a not-for-profit registered Canadian Charity 100% funded through donations and targeted fundraising initiatives. Home Hospice is managed by a Board of Directors.
We are a community-based program. There are no fees for our service which are provided by a team of Visiting Volunteers who are screened and trained to the highest standards. All visiting volunteers are required to participate in a 35-hour training program through Hospice Palliative Care Ontario and complete a vulnerable police check.
Our focus is on the emotional and spiritual well-being of individuals and their loved ones. We have 2 Program Coordinators on staff – one is an RN and the other is a Social Worker – who coordinate and oversee the program and our Visiting Volunteers.
Our Program Coordinator will be at Orchard View every Monday from 12 noon to 3pm so please drop by and visit or call 613 406 7020 to speak to the Coordinator.
Both of our Program Coordinators and all of our Visiting Volunteers are fully vaccinated and follow all Covid protocols.

As we all know, healthy teeth and gums are very important contributors to our overall health, vitality and wellness. Fresh food not only fuels our body and help us maintain health, the act of eating is very satisfying in its own right. Today, as most seniors can expect to keep most, if not all, of their natural teeth, it is especially important to maintain regular oral hygiene habits and regular visits to a dental professional.
Rosemary and her team of Registered Dental Hygienists (RDH) support the health of our residents by providing onsite teeth cleaning – oral hygiene treatments by appointment, on a monthly basis. Our team includes a mobile dentist and mobile denturist, available on an as-required basis thereby ensuring the patients have a single point of contact for all their oral healthcare needs – with all services provided in the comfort of the residence. Dental insurance is welcome.
Whether you are a resident, or an adult child supporting your parent(s) in their golden years, the team at The Perfect Smile™ has the gentle touch, skills and experience to provide you and your loved ones with quality service they deserve.

At the Almonte Spectacle Shoppe we are small locally owned optical. We sell & service prescription eyewear. We do repairs & adjustments. Having an on site finishing lab allows us to use your frame for prescription only be without your frames for a couple of hours. We do home visits free of charge. We bring a selection of frames to choose from, replace/fix & return them that day, This eliminates the challenge of transportation or mobility issues. We also do custom sunglasses & tinting. Orchard View residents receive a 15% off or BOGO 50% off. Sharing is appreciated and welcomed.
Kelsie Maynard - Foot Care
Kelsie Maynard is a certified foot care nurse including diabetic foot care, TOEFX fungal nail treatment and onyfix nail correction for ingrown nails. Registered with Veterans affairs and your benefits insurance and appointment with Kelsie is smooth sailing and happy feet.
Kathryn Graham is a certified foot care nurse for basic, advanced or diabetic feet. Kathryn can provide receipts for Veterans affairs and insurance benefits. Kathryn’s high-quality service and satisfaction will never disappoint.
Houle Healthcare is a local company that will come to your door to provide you with a fitting, selection and repair for your assistive devices. Do you need a walker, wheelchair, transfer pole or commode? Houle Healthcare will be in on a monthly basis to support you or they are available by appointment at your request.
Almonte Hearing Clinic supports us with a hearing aid clinic on the first Tuesday of the month. Sherri will ensure your hearing aids are working, set and fitting properly. The office is less than 1km away if more testing is required. Book your visit at reception.

Houle Healthcare is a local company that will come to your door to provide you with a fitting, selection and repair for your assistive devices. Do you need a walker, wheelchair, transfer pole or commode? Houle Healthcare will be in on a monthly basis to support you or they are available by appointment at your request.

Medline - Incontinence Products
Incontinence products is not a popular topic, but an essential one! Medline can provide you with high quality Prevail products at a discounted price. Our staff will fit you and recommend the right product for your needs. Please see Nursing to explore your options.
CareRX - Pharmacy
CareRX is our pharmacy for your medications. If you want to simplify life by having your weekly medications delivered here, that’s an option. If you prefer to have our registered Nursing staff administer them for you, CareRX will set up an account for you. Please see the Nursing department to set this up.
Carebridge - Senior Support Programs
Carebridge is a local organization which provides support services to our community. For Orchard View Gardens residents and townees, they offer transportation, frozen meals, outings, and regularly scheduled exercise classes.
